Privacy Note: All messages sent to Massey@Distance, regardless of channel  are handled in strict accordance with the Massey@Distance Privacy Policy.. Your identifying details are kept strictly confidential within M@D. However, if the concerns you raise require specialised individual case management, your message may be forwarded to an affiliated service provider, who at time of writing, is the distance advocacy provider operating through Massey University Students Association Palmerston North who, like M@D, operates independently of Massey University, and adheres to a similarly robust privacy policy.

M@D advocates on issues affecting multiple students and we work to source the best information and advice to relay to students dealing with that issue. We continue to assist until our involvement is no longer required.

m@d works on:

  • Academic, external, student admin related, college, course quality and other external issues

For example, important changes from the University that are sometimes hard to properly understand or errors in course delivery.

Resolutions are published  within the Facebook Community (where appropriate) and throughout the web page you are using now (as appropriate).

MUSA provides one-on-one support to individual students. If you are facing a challenge, big or small, during your tertiary journey, this is who you should reach out to. The service is professional and independent from Massey University. Whether it be academic grievances, financial hardship or just someone to chat to – Izzy is able to support you in a range of ways, such as attending meetings or utilising phone conferences; the aim is to reduce the barriers studying by distance can cause.
